Description
Folk Art FLP-5005, “God Made the Blues”, Volume II, from 1964. Jesse Fuller, vocals, with 12-string guitar, harmonica, kazoo, and fotdella. The vinyl plays mostly at VG++ with very little static in the background; however, there are a few small marks on the otherwise very shiny surface that cause light ticks in places. The laminated jacket is VG++ with solid seams all around and square corners; there is a bit of discoloration on part of the top seam; there is slight rubwear on the back cover. Songs are “Leavin’ Memphis, Frisco Bound”, “Got a Date at Half Past Eight”, “Hump in My Back”, “Flavor in My Cream”, “Finger Twister”, “Just Like a Ship on the Deep Blue Sea”, “Cincinnati Blues”, “Just a Closer Walk with Thee”, “Motherless Child”, “Amazing Grace”, “Hark from the Tomb”, and “As Long as I Can Feel the Spirit”. This is one of Jesse’s rarest issues in very nice condition. Shipping is $4.00 media mail, $8.00 priority mail within the continental U.S.; $14.00 regular airmail to the U.K., Europe, Japan, Korea, and Australia; elsewhere inquire. Additional LPs in a single package are $1.00 per LP domestic, $2.00 elsewhere. For overseas shipments, registered mail for $11.75 extra is strongly recommended. (Last year, a package to the Netherlands was lost in shipment, resulting in disappointment on both sides.) Many old records are now practically antiques and should be treated that way. This LP will be packaged with the record inside an inner sleeve but outside the jacket; both are placed inside a sealed outer sleeve and shipped inside a special oversized handcrafted mailer with padding on all sides. It is designed thick enough not to be bent in transit and strong enough to withstand a drop from a second-story window. More than two LPs will be mailed together in a heavy Bags Unlimited pizza-style box. Your LP should arrive in the same condition as on the day it was shipped.
