This record is straight from my father's original collection that I found behind his more modern CDs, and generations of music technology in between. My father told us stories of sneaking into New York from New Jersey as a teenager to listen to jazz in the 1930s. This record was part of an album of approximately 15 singles [inquiries about other singles or the entire album will be accepted]

My father received an original signed letter from George Hoefer of "Down Beat – The Musicians’ Bible," Chicago, Sept. 24, 1942, identifying the musicians on Jelly Roll Morton’s album above in response to my father's inquiry about this Jelly Roll Morton recording, which was recorded in Chicago on September 21, 1926.
