So this month I'm working my way through a record collection assembled by a newspaper critic who lived well into her 90s: She accumulated some very interesting discs in her career, and I thought I'd try some of them on the Greater Ebay Public.  Most of the records have been well kept, though for some reason, a lot of the LABELs are scratched even when the grooves of the record are nice and clean.

The lady in question had a great interest in recorded comedy, and it's interesting to note how many of these records have a notation that they are for home use only.  This means they would not have been permitted on the radio.  (The previous owner of these records knew Chicago when it WAS Chicago.)  I am told this is the only record ever made by Jean (Gene) Malin, a brilliant nightclub comedian who died in a car accident at 25.  It is Columbia 2812-D, "I'd Rather be Spanish (than Mannish)" and "That's What's the Matter With Me."  Purchaser pays $4 no frills shipping and handling within US, more for international or insurance
