Description

George Wallington Trio on Progressive 3001.  Deep-groove mono original copy.  The vinyl is very shiny with some light marks each side, nice VG+ to look at.  But the first track on the A-side does have a scratch that pops (doesn't skip) each revolution for most of the song (twice during the first few revolutions, though I can't figure out why, as there is no second scratch).  Otherwise, the record plays very clean, with the usual surface noise that all copies of this seem to have--like many other LPs and ten-inches of its era, it was not the best-pressed disk.  Front and rear covers shows light wear and some age discoloring.  Two of the seams also show wear, though they are not split.

GRADING

M-  A flawless or nearly flawless record that appears to have seen little or no play.

VG++  Superb record, full gloss with a few superficial marks that do not sound.

VG+  Full gloss,  light marks or scuffs, but an attractive record that has seen limited play and has been well cared for.

VG   More marks and scratches, but still a decent record.  Scratches may be fairly numerous, but will be light.

VG-  Lots of marks and scratches but no gouges or major problems.  Not a beautiful record, but still serviceable, not junk.

G+ and G  Heavy wear and marks, plays through okay.
