Description

Jan Garber Vintage Vinyl Records SIGNED. Condition is Used. Shipped with USPS Media Mail.

vintage 10-inch 78 RPM RCA Victor vinyl record. This record is by Jan garber and was signed by her while doing a show in North Dakota. this has been a collectible item in my family for many years however upon inheriting it I have no use for it. The autograph is slightly feeding but you can still make out the word cheers above Jan garber signature.

Billed as "The Idol of the Airwaves" during the 1920s and 1930s, Garber (1894-1977) was a jazz and big band leader. He started out as a violinist, including a gig with the Philadelphia Symphony Orchestra after World War I, before forming the Garber-Davis Orchestra with Milton Davis (1921-4). After Davis left, Garber formed his own orchestra, which specialized in both "sweet" and "hot" dance music in the 1920s, big band music during the Great Depression and swing jazz during World War II. He continued to lead dance music orchestras after the war until his death.

Record is not intended to be played as it is being sold as a piece of autographed musical memorabilia.
