Description
Here is a real rarity for James fans - this is an extremely rare release of the early incarnation of the band's 1983 Peel Session, featuring unreleased versions of Vulture, Chicken Wire (became If Things Were Perfect), Discipline (never released in any format) and Hymn From A Village.
This is an unofficial limited edition release, only 300 were made, this is stamped as No. 84 and it is unknown how many still survive. Having spoken to One Of The Three website owner David Brown, who is the authority on the band, he says that Surf City Recordings was what the bootleg record shop in the Corn Exchange in Manchester released their own pressings on and he confirmed that this is likely extremely rare and valuable.
The record itself is obviously a non-official production - the cover is a folded, unglued sleeve and must be kept in a clear plastic cover for protection. It is in excellent condition and will be of great interest to collectors of James rarities.
I am currently selling several rare James vinyls, AAA passes that were used by Andy Diagram and other memorabilia over the next few days - please check my other listings for details.
