Description
This auction is for an ultra-rare 1st Press DJ Promotional copy of James Brown Live At The Apollo on white label King Records DJK-12-826 A & B. Includes the white band on the album cover which reads "King-Bethlehem Records Radio Station Service - Not For Resale" and has playtime information for each track so the DJ could time his setlist.
This is an unbelievably rare copy of this seminal album. The album cover has some minor wear, including a small record split at the top, but is in amazing EX/NM condition. The vinyl record is the ultra-rare white label with a big bold "KING" approximately 3 inches across and "PROMOTIONAL" on either side of the spindle hole, and is in spectacular NM condition, with only a few very light scuffs/scratches that do not affect playback.
This King Records white label 1st Press DJ promo version never comes to auction (and has sold upwards of $500 in worse condition), and is even rarer in such amazing condition.
