Description

Hello, my name is Brian and I have been a vinyl fan for many years now and have always bought and sold items to feed my vinyl hunger...I have never been a dealer and this is not a business. I will always describe my items for sale as honestly and accurately as possible with plenty of clear and detailed pictures.


If you read my ebay feed back as a seller you will see that people are happy with what they receive from my auctions. I try not to waffle on about how rare an album is using silly expressions such as "AWESOME" or "IMPOSSIBLE LIKE THIS" etc etc (yawn yawn)!

I am very particular about packaging the vinyl. I use cruciform boxes with cardboard stiffeners and bubble wrap for extra protection. The vinyl is always packaged outside of the sleeve to prevent seem splits. I am happy to post any where in the world but it must be fully insured.

The cost of postage will depend on the final selling value and the destination, so I can't advise the cost until the auction has ended.

I recommend extra insurance for the more valuable items (over £40), it only costs a few pounds and is well worth it in my opinion. I will NOT post items over seas without full insurance.

I use the 'RECORD COLLECTOR' grading system with a + or - where appropriate.

SLEEVE...........

Un-laminated, gatefold. Showing signs of regular handling and it has had a bit of 'touching in' on the corners and edges. There are NO sticker tears or unwanted writing. The top and bottom edges are strong with shelf wear but not splits. The front has some light creasing and a couple surface indentations and the art work is undamaged. It does have sticker on the front that looks to have been there for a number years. The spine is rubbed but the information is fully readable. The rear has minor ring wear and some light surface rub (not through the surface) and light creasing. The inner gatefold is in top condition with only very minor creases.VG+


INNER SLEEVE.

Original swirl, poly lined. Has a piece missing from one corner and the sides have short splits to the midle. VG-



LABELS............. Super rare large B side swirl with VERTIGO at the base of the label and the all important

'A PHILIPS RECORD PRODUCT' printed at the base of the B side label.

The labels are unmarked with light spider lines around the spindle hole. EX


VINYL................

Obviously well played. There are NO deep scratches that cause jumps, skips or loud pops and clicks. Lots of hair lines and some light scuffs. I have used a flash with my camera to help show up the surface of each side.

The playback is still very strong and full, great stereo affect, nice sound stage. This is in no way trashed and is a very enjoyable listen.VG+


COMMENTS......Quite rare now as a very first Philips press and still a great album.

I do wonder if there is damage under the sticker? So I never attempted to remove it, and it does add a bit of a retro look.
