Judy Bailey is probably Australia's leading jazz pianist, and on this her debut album, has teamed with Australia's top bass-man Lyn Christie and John Sangster(drums). They have taken 8 old standards, plus Judy's own composition NIGHT DREAMS and combine them into possibly the swingin'est jazz album ever produced in Australia. 9 tracks including You & The Night & The Music/In The Still Of The Night/Deep Night/The Night Has A Thousand Eyes, Night In Tunisia and more. Released by CBS(BP-233126), Deep Groove orange label.
*** Please read, very important: Record is graded using the 2010 record collector price guide. Grading - Cover (Very good - Normal wear and tear without any major defects. Light edge wear and very light discolouration on the back, but for the age of the record it is generally very good. Name of previous owner written very lightly in pen on the top left-hand corner on the back.). Record (Fair - I would have rated the record VG +, maybe even EX, but the record has a very small 4 Millimetre dent that looks like a burn on the second track of side 1 of the record. This is only at the start of the track and therefore this small section of the record in unplayable. Their is also some light surface marks, but nothing that affects play. I have a really good record player and I have tested the record and I think it sounds great). Although this record has a slight defect, this record is a must have for any Jazz or Aussie record collector!
