Description

I am in the process of selling a large collection of classic records every one of which should be of interest to serious collectors.

For auction here is a real rarity. A true fan's prize.

This is the actual STUDIO ACETATE of Judas Priest's 1981 album Point Of Entry.

Possibly the first version of it ever cut, it is NOT an ordinary advance press version. This is one of the handful of copies cut DIRECT IN THE STUDIO by and for the band themselves.  This is how they would have heard it as an album, for the very first time. straight off the studios own cutting machine.

It has that tell tale thick, brittle quality to the "vinyl" and the chemical smell so peculiar to a studio acetate. This record is literally physically "heavy".

It is housed in a Trident Studios sleeve and has the Trident label with full address and, handwritten, the band's name and the date 8-1-81 - about six weeks before public pressings were started.

It is in terrific scratch free condition, sleek and glossy (unusual in itself for these type of discs)

Whether it is a different mix entirely I cannot say. Sometimes these versions are.

May this go to real REAL fan. You will never see one of these again.

Again, the studio acetate first ever press of JUDAS PRIEST: Point Of Entry.

Pure history for heavy metal collectors.

The start price is low and there is no reserve.
