Judas Priest

'Sad Wings Of Destiny'

Gull, UK, 1976

GULP 1015

UNIVERSALLY RECOGNISED as their best ever album - a true classic boasting unbridled power and heaviness with Halford blowing the veins in his neck at every available opportunity. Contains so many killer tracks - a number of which are still played to this day. Produced by Rodger Bain, the man that put the heaviness into those early Black Sabbath and Budgie albums. It's also housed in one of the greatest sleeves of all time.

This is an original copy issued on the small but perfectly formed Gull label. As it never sold anything on release it ain't easy to find. I've seen quite a few of these originals but this one displays a slight colour variation - rare!

This auction is part of a fantastic collection of seventies rock which I was lucky enough to acquire. Most of these records were stored with the utmost care and sparsely played. Some were possibly never played or may have been for just a handful of times.

Pressing: Gull, UK, 1976

Vinyl: Nice clean and tidy condition. A few spindle marks on labels and displays a few scuff marks - nothing to worry about. Otherwise only the lightest signs of use. Grades as a very strong Ex

Cover: No signs of use. Issued in a beautifully designed cover. Sharp corners, no dings, no bends, no ring wear, no split seams and no creases. Firm stiff uncrushed spine. Grades as shop fresh MINT!

Inserts: None
