SOUL ROCK BOSSA NOVA Lp by THE JOY UNLIMITED GROUP AND THE CONTINENTALS. Original Italian pressing on FONIT CETRA label (SFC 144), from 1977. Seldom heard and practically unknown Italian-only session by the German Krautrock group but on a funky Italian Library tip with vocal chorus singers. Same group behind the Instrumental Impressions Library on Devega that Gatto Nero Records comped for their Sonorissima series. This is an absolutely killer set, every track is superb with compositions ranging from top hammond funk that completely destroys the Revelations Group - Lindok Lp / Alessandroni style funky lounge and bossa themes / trippy Franco De Gemini harmonica mood music to incredible vocal harmony tunes with funked-up backing band and drum breaks. Expert playing by these session men with lots of psychedelic hammond / jazz horn section / flute / congas / wah wah / floaty analogue synth / Brazilian jazz / funk rhythms / beats and breaks. Easily one of the rarest and best Library style Lps from Italy. Fabulous music that will also appeal to serious soundtrack collectors / fans of the Barbara Moore Singers / Baron Von Ohlen Quartet / Johannes Fehring & The Chicks / Voices In Latin and serious DJs worldwide.
