JOY DIVISION Closer, Factory ORIG Ian Curtis POST PUNK

Joy Division, Closer.

Original 1980 UK Factory Records stereo LP, FACT 25.

Earliest issue pressing with A1/B1 matrix suffixes and "OLD BLUE?" etched to dead wax/run off areas. Although vinyl appears black it is a rich dark ruby red when viewed in front of a bright light source. Both sleeves are heavy and textured, and the inner sleeve features rounded corners and a thumb groove to top entry side.

Vinyl in EX plus condition. Barely any spider trail marks are visble at centre spindle areas. Surfaces have a high gloss still and display just one or two superficial light and wispy hairline sleeve removal scuffs. Generally appears a little and carefully played LP.

Playback is clean and free of crackle, clicks or ticks.

Labels are clean and undefaced.

Inner sleeve close to EX. Very bright and clean with just a couple of barely visible thumbing imprints. Just the very lightest signs of imprinting along the line of the vinyl. No tears, fraying or seam splits.

External sleeve is VG. Complete and free of sticker or pen marks. The predominantly white surfaces have suffered a little overall grubbiness, including some storage ringwear darkening. There are also a couple of dots of tan stains. No really prominent stains however. Entry side not torn or chipped, but starting to show handling feathering. Tips slightly rubbed and a minor ding to top edge, else edges have fared pretty well and have no scuffing or seam splits.
