JOY DIVISION - An Ideal For Living 12" (UK Anonymous Records ANON 1, 1978)
This is ultra rare and 100% GENUINE original UK 1st Pressing (of 1200 copies only) of Joy Division debut EP - released privately in 1978 (also in 7" format - with different cover). Tracklisting is: WARSAW, NO LOVE LOST, LEADERS OF MEN & FAILURES.
There are following writings on dead wax: "Don't ever let it fade away" & "A-NON-1-A" & "LYN 5782 - 1M" on SIDE 1 + "I feel it closing in" & "ANON-1-B" & "LYN 5783 - 1M" - on SIDE 2. The lettering on smooth labels is in very sharp, silver print. Original "PATENT Nos. 1.125.555 - Made In Great Britain" inner sleeve is available, too (although the vinyl was stored in another, lined inner sleeve)!
This copy is impossible to upgrade! One of a kind!
Cover: MINT(-) Matt and rather fragile cover is in near perfect (shop) condition. NO creases; NO wrinkles; NO (even hint of) ringwear; NO writings; NO edgewears & NO hidden flaws! There is 1cm long thin line on top edge - totally harmless. The opening edge is razor sharp and the spine as new! All the corners are completely intact - with no sign being bumped.
This is real shop-condition item - stored for years in one place - without being handled at all!
Record: MINT(-) Under very bright light I did not notice any marks, scuffs or hairlines! After some time I have spotted maybe 3-4 of the light hairlines (on one side only) which are completely invisible! It was played probably twice - including once by myself! The audio is immaculate - very loud and dynamic - probably much better that on 7" Enigma edition... NO noise and absolutely NO clicks! Both labels are immaculate - with NO spindle marks; NO fingerprints, NO writings, NO initials, NO stains - NO NOTHING! TOP COPY!
You can bid with confidence – check my feedback, please. My grading system is very strict – with very slight difference between M and EX. As a collector too I perfectly know, what does it mean to buy an overgraded record!!!
All my records (including 7-inches) were cleaned on Clearaudio Matrix machine and are ready to listen – without any disturbing noises or crackles caused by dirt.
