Excellent condition 12-inch vinyl LP of THE ANIMAL YEARS by JOSH RITTER.

2011 reissue on Josh Ritter’s own label, pressed on 180g black vinyl. Includes CD featuring the original B-sides and Josh performing the entire album acoustically. 

Bought new, stored in a plastic sleeve since purchase and only played a handful of times.

From my own personal collection in a smoke/pet-free home - I was recently made redundant as a result of the pandemic and have decided to sell off some of my record collection to help make ends meet. CONDITION INFO – PLEASE READ IN FULL BEFORE BIDDING/PURCHASE!

I am a vinyl collector myself, so know how disappointing it can be when listings either aren’t accurate or the seller doesn’t take sufficient care with postage! I have therefore tried my best to list and show all defects, no matter how minor - for rarer and collectible items, I also tend to grade quite conservatively to err on the side of caution.

Please assume that any download cards which are advertised on the cover or included with the record have been redeemed in the first instance (or have likely now expired from age) – if not, that’s an extra bonus!

ALL RECORDS HAVE BEEN PLAYED THROUGH FROM START TO FINISH TO ASCERTAIN THEIR CONDITION PRIOR TO LISTING. While the grading of vinyl always retains a degree of subjectivity due to different people’s interpretations of the criteria, they have been graded to a standard that I would be happy receiving as a (quite fussy!) purchaser/collector. Advisory grading is therefore as follows -
VINYL: Ex+ (superficial hairline surface marks on a couple of tracks which do not affect the play in any way. Light crackle and a handful of light pops scattered throughout – basically just general vinyl surface noise! Most noticeable between songs and on the quieter sections - A5, B1, B4, B5 - but not intrusive. A couple of small pops on A1, A5, A6 and B3. Scuffs/sticker-tearing to the inner hole on both sides of the record. Note: the slight ‘marbling’ effect on the vinyl which looks like scuffing is part of the surface texture of the material used, i.e. underneath the grooves. It does not affect the play in any way!)
SLEEVE: Near Mint- (NM-): still in its original cellophane wrapper, slit up the side to remove record for play. Small bump to top-left corner of front cover and back-right corner of back cover.
INNER: Ex- (surface creasing from around the record shape. Tearing/creasing on one fold of back lip.)
INSERT: Near Mint (NM)
CD: Near Mint (NM): unplayed

* Please be aware that the play-quality of any vinyl record is always dependent on stylus sensitivity and the quality of the owner’s audio equipment, so it is impossible to be 100% accurate with grading veracity. However, I have done my best to flag any potential issues for the sake of transparency!

* Records are posted in sturdy packaging with cardboard stiffeners used on either side to prevent damage in transit.

* Standard UK postage for items under £20 is 2nd Class (or Standard International Delivery for orders) to reduce the cost to the buyer.

* If you would like 1st Class / Signed For postage (UK) or Track & Trace (international), please ask before paying and I will send you a revised quote for this.

* Records which are anticipated as selling for a value higher than £20 are listed with 2nd Class Signed For delivery as standard (Tracked/Signed for international orders) to ensure security. Proof of postage is obtained for all domestic and international orders.
