FOR AUCTION HERE, AN EXTREMELY RARE VINYL RELEASE OF THIS PIANO DUET/TAPE DECK COLLABORATION BETWEEN CUTTING-EDGE FLUXUS ARTISTS NAM JUNE PAIK & JOSEPH BEUYS COMMEMORATING THE PASSING OF FELLOW ARTIST & FLUXUS CREATOR GEORGE MACIUNAS. PUBLISHED IN AN UNKNOWN LIMITED AMOUNT IN 1982 BY GALLERY OWNER RENE BLOCK.
Liner notes on back state: "In 1978 George Maciunas, founder and chairman of Fluxus, died in New York at the age of 47. In invert of these numbersthe duration of the piano-duett (sic), performed to his memory by Joseph Beuys and Nam June Paik was planned for 74 minutes. The end of this memorable evening at the Kunstakademie of Düsseldorf was determined by an alarm-clock, set for 9.14 pm."

The Vinyl is Excellent++/Near Mint visually and Excellent++/Near Mint aurally. No discernible markings/surface wear or noise that I could see or hear!
I can't say Mint as it has been played but a wonderful flawless copy to listen to of this unique event in contemporary art history.
The cover is sadly not quite as good but is conservatively Very Good++. It's suffered a little due to its white surface showing wear and tear easily. There is some slight front cover ring-wear & a few overall slight cover surface creasings/markings & corner bumping that sadly bring down the grading. Mainly there's a small crease on the right-hand front cover. However the back cover is Very Good++ with just some minor markings and the inside gatefold is Excellent++. The spine is Ex with some minor creasing/wear
OVERALL, THIS IS A LOVELY COPY IN WONDERFUL CONDITION, ESPECIALLY THE VINYL, OF WHAT IS AN EXTREMELY SCARCE ALBUM (NEVER RELEASED ON CD)
A UNIQUE ITEM, FOR THOSE INTERESTED IN AVANT-GARDE/IMPROVISED/CONTEMPORARY MUSIC & THOSE ALSO INTERESTED IN ASPECTS OF AVANT-GARDE ART'S FORAYS INTO MUSICAL EXPRESSION FROM TWO LEADING LIGHTS OF THE FLUXUS MOVEMENT.
