A BREAKDOWN OF THE ARTIST/S :-

John Verity (born 3 July 1949, Bradford, West Yorkshire) is an English guitarist formerly with the band Argent from 1973 to 1976.

When Argent split up, he formed Phoenix with Bob Henrit and Jim Rodford. The band recorded three albums with CBS Records and toured Europe before disbanding. Rodford joined the Kinks, Verity and Henrit joined Charlie, to record an album with RCA Records. Verity produced the Phoenix albums and Charlie album as well as the first Saxon album.

During the early 1980s Verity worked with Brian Connolly (former vocalist with Sweet) in an attempt to launch him as a solo artist. A single, "Hypnotised" was released on Carrere Records in 1982 produced by Verity, and written by Joe Lynn Turner. Verity was part of Connolly's backing band Encore when they supported Pat Benatar at the beginning of 1983. The line up of this band formed the basis of Verity's own band, which went on release several albums including Interrupted Journey.

He frequently plays with his band in and around Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire. He also has many acoustic gigs as a duo with either Max Milligan or Mark Griffiths, as well as with the band. The usual line up features Henrit on drums and Mark Griffiths on bass

THE COVER :- Single Textured sleeve

THE LABEL :- Probe labels

THE VINYL VISUALLY :- On initial inspection of this piece of vinyl I cannot see any areas of immediate concern. The vinyl sits perfectly flat on the turntable so there are no nasty warps to worry about. The vinyl still retains its just pressed quality, full of deep shine and lustre. I haven't noticed anything that would affect play. A stunning piece of vinyl. I would grade the visual looks of the vinyl as Excellent Plus

THE VINYL PLAY GRADED :- The playgrading of the vinyl reveals no lessening in the sound quality. It lives up to its visual grading. There is barely any surface noise. What there is can be only heard on the run in and run out of tracks and extra quiet areas of the album, just the odd click really. The sound quality is high with a full dynamic range and very detailed sound. I feel certain this album has been played carefully and stored well over the years. I would grade the audio playback as Excellent Plus condition.

THE SLEEVE FRONT CONDITION :- This is the very earliest 1st press textured sleeve. The front of the sleeve is free from writing, free from stickers or evidence of previously removed stickers. The sleeve reveals some very light but no creases. Just some very light shelfwear around the seams and opening if being super critical. The colours are bright and crisp. I would grade the front of the cover as Excellent condition.

THE SLEEVE REAR CONDITION :- The rear of the sleeve is free from writing, free from stickers or evidence of previously removed stickers. There are no creases on the rear of the sleeve and just the same light ringwear. As on the front there is light shelfwear and corner wear. Again the rear still retains its original crisp colours and just pressed feel. I would grade the rear as Excellent condition.

THE LABEL SIDE ONE CONDITION :- Original Probe label in excellent order free from stickers or writing and no damage at all, light signs of play around the spindle hole. Excellent Plus condition.

THE LABEL SIDE TWO CONDITION :- Original Probe label in excellent order free from stickers or writing and no damage at all, light signs of play around the spindle hole. Excellent Plus condition.

THE SPINE CONDITION :- The writing on the spine is crystal clear, no spine splits at all just very light signs of shelfwear in the two corners and above the album title text. Excellent condition

THE INNER SLEEVE CONDITION :- Generic white inner in Excellent condition with some age discolourment
