ROOM FOR SQUARES
Room for Squares is the debut studio album by American musician John Mayer. It was released through Aware Records and Columbia Records on June 5, 2001, the album peaked at number 9 on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart. Upon its release, Room for Squares received generally positive reviews from most music critics and earned Mayer a Grammy Award for Best Male Pop Vocal Performance for the single "Your Body Is a Wonderland". It is his best-selling album to date, with sales of over 4,484,000 copies in the U.S.
HEAVIER THINGS
John Mayer followed up his Grammy-winning 2001 debut Room for Squares and hit single "Your Body Is a Wonderland" with the Jack Joseph Puig-produced Heavier Things in 2003. Debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart, Heavier Things is a more sophisticated record than its predecessor in every way with deeper songwriting and ambitious pop-jazz arrangements. The album legitimized Mayer's talent and set the tone for the rest of his career, yielding a trio of successful singles with "Bigger Than My Body," "Clarity" and "Daughters," the latter serving as the blossoming singer/songwriter's first No. 1 single as well as 2005 Grammy winner for Song of the Year.
CONTINUUM
John Mayer's third studio album Continuum follows the multi-platinum Room For Squares and Heavier Things and marks his first turn as producer. It is his most soulful, cohesive collection yet and he says it's no accident that this project is where all of his efforts, his potential, and his disparate influences fully come together. Contiuum represents maturity, both musically and thematically for Mayer, who knew this album would tackle larger ideas than those that defined his previous albums.
BORN AND RAISED
Born and Raised, the fifth full-length album from Grammy Award-winning singer, songwriter and musician John Mayer. Rock legends David Crosby and Graham Nash provide vocals on the album's title song. Additional musicians joining Mayer on the album and on the road include highly-regarded keyboardist/pianist Chuck Leavell, who has worked with the Rolling Stones, Eric Clapton and The Allman Brothers Band, as well as previous collaborators Sean Hurley on bass and Aaron Sterling on drums. Paradise Valley is the latest album from John Mayer which he produced with longtime collaborator Don Was, who also co-produced Mayer's #1 charting gold-certified 2012 release Born and Raised. Rolling Stone called "Paper Doll," the first single from Paradise Valley, a "sweet, subtle heartbreaker, built around a lilting, circuitous guitar lick" while Billboard hailed it as "a perfectly crafted pop song," remarking that "Mayer's voice has triumphantly returned." 180g vinyl with accompanying CD.
