John Mayall & the Bluesbreakers are a pioneering English blues band, led by singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist John Mayall, OBE. He used the band name between 1963 and 1967, but then dropped it for some fifteen years. However, in 1982 a ‘Return of the Bluesbreakers’ was announced and the name has been kept since then. The name has become generic without a clear distinction which recordings are to be credited just to the leader or to leader and his band. The Bluesbreakers have included luminaries such as: Eric Clapton, Jack Bruce, Peter Green,  Mick Fleetwood, John McVie, Mick Taylor, Harvey Mandel, Walter Trout, Larry Taylor, Don “Sugarcane” Harris, Randy Resnick, Aynsley Dunbar, Dick Heckstall-Smith, Andy Fraser, Chris Mercer, Henry Lowther, Johnny Almond and Jon Mark. This album was released in 1966.
This is a great playing copy of this hard to find mono album. Apart from nine light clicks a quarter way into “Have You Heard” it plays great with no groove wear, distortion, skips, sticks, jumps and minimal crackle!

Side Two: Key To Love; Parchman Farm; Have You Heard; Ramblin’ On My Mind; Steppin’ Out; It Ain’t Right.
The album is on Decca Records, LK 4804. Matrix side one: ARL-7297-1A (stamped). Matrix side two: ARL-7298-1A (stamped).
Released in 1966. UK pressing. Mono.
Condition: (as Record Collector's grading system. If I see a mark it will be mentioned however light/small, apart from the usual very light paper scuffs/marks - usually caused by record being removed from the inner sleeve, which appear on nearly all old records and which are only visible under strong light)
Vinyl side 1: very good (quite a few light superficial marks can be seen that do not affect the audio in any way, plays without fault).
Vinyl side 2: very good (quite a few light superficial marks can be seen that do not affect the audio in any way, but has one small scratch about a quarter into track three that does cause 9 faint clicks, that apart plays without fault).
Cover (front laminated): very good (has slight corner bashes, a few small laminate creases, light crease on back bottom left, sellotape residue on top of back - see photos).
The record plays with no jumps, skips or sticks and minimal crackle.
I have tried to give my honest opinion as to the condition. I will give a complete refund to the buyer if they are not happy with the record.

RECORD COLLECTOR GRADING SYSTEM:
MINT: I very rarely use the mint grade. Only records that are still sealed or records that even under the strongest of lights are completely unmarked. Also covers that are unmarked/uncreased in any way and still look brand new.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is no lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
