Bare Wires was the first Bluesbreakers album of new studio material since A Hard Road, 16 months earlier.
In that time, the band had turned over entirely, expanding to become a septet.
Mayall's musical conception had also expanded -- the album begins with a 23-minute "Bare Wires Suite," which includes more jazz influences than usual and features introspective lyrics.
The album became Mayall's most successful ever in the U.K., hitting number three

Clean, unmarked labels - a few light spindle traces - seen little play
VINYL Visual: EXCELLENT+
Both surfaces shine like new with nothing but a few light, superficial and inconsequential marks
VINYL Audio: NEAR MINT
Gorgeous sound quality - deep, rich and warm and my play-check at volume found no audible issues of note - lovely copy - exceptionally clean
SLEEVE: EXCELLENT
Some rub to the corners otherwise, little to fault
