Here I have a copy of
John Martyn
'Solid Air'
on very rare original UK 1st pressing LP in gatefold picture sleeve with 'pink rim' paper labels
released on Island Records ILPS9226 in 1973
with hand etched ILPS 9226 A & stamped -1U 1 RG & hand etched ILPS 9226 B & stamped 1 ILPS 9226 B-1U & stamped STERLING GH matrix numbers
The condition of the record is very good ( has some light hairlines & stylus scuff marks but plays through with some occasional light surface noise ..most noticeable is a slight click for 10 seconds on the quiet moment between the end of ‘Go Down Easy’ and the intro to ‘Dreams By the Sea’ ) .
The gatefold sleeve has creasing & scuffing on edges & corners & very mild ringwear .
The labels are clean with a few light spindle marks .
