Description

I met John on several occasions , at solo gigs , as a duo with Foster Patterson , and on one occasion , a full  band including the brilliant Alan Thomson a Scottish bass player who has also signed the front of this sleeve in silver marker pen
John played Spring Street Theatre in Hull many times in the mid to late 80's as the promoter Barry Nettleton was an old friend. the downside for me was that John would rush off to local hostelry for a meal and a drink which made getting his autograph a hit or miss affair. I was ably assisted once by his son Spenser who kindly took a few sleeves backstage for me and came back laughing as John had misspelled my name on the cover of the Foundations LP

It's a USA copy with the deletion/cut out but otherwise mint condition both the sleeve and the vinyl which looks superb
