Description
THIS IS THE ORIGINAL 1973 UK STEREO FIRST PRESSING OF JOHN MARTYN’S “SOLID AIR” LP AND IS SERIOUSLY RARE IN THIS CONDITION! THIS LP SOLD FAIRLY WELL AT THE TIME BUT IS HARD TO FIND IN THIS CONDITION! THE VINYL IS IN PERFECT CONDITION. THE COVER IS IN ALMOST PERFECT CONDITION. DONT MISS THIS VERY RARE OPPORTUNITY!
The Catalogue Number is ILPS-9226 on the palm tree Island label. The matrix numbers are A-1U and B-1U.
The record labels are in STUNNING condition (see picture) with NO wear, NO writing, and NO spindle marks. I BOUGHT THIS RECORD SHORTLY AFTER IT CAME OUT AND IT HAS RARELY BEEN PLAYED AND THEN ONLY ON TOP QUALITY HI-FI EQUIPMENT. The vinyl is in SUPERB condition with NO scratches, NO scuff marks and NO signs of wear. THE RECORD STILL RETAINS EVERY BIT OF ITS ORIGINAL 'JUST PRESSED' LOOK! The record sounds as STUNNING as the visual! It plays with CRYSTAL CLEAR UNDISTORTED SOUND, NO sticking, NO jumps, and NO crackle! The record plays SUPERBLY with ZERO DISTORTION! Believe me this record is NOT overgraded in ANY way! Brilliant!!
The GATEFOLD cover is in ALMOST MINT condition! It has NO wear to spine. There is SLIGHT wear to the top and bottom right corners of the front cover. There are absolutely NO other blemishes at all apart from some VERY SLIGHT ringwear to the top of the back cover. The opening edges are straight with NO edgewear. There are NO creases, ONLY THE VERY SLIGHTEST rubbing, and NO writing. Essentially the cover looks new!
THIS IS A RARE AND LEGENDARY UK LP TO FIND IN THIS CONDITION! DONT MISS OUT!
I TRY TO MAKE MY DESCRIPTIONS OF THE CONDITION OF ITEMS VERY PRECISE.

For packaging I use strong record boxes with extra stiffeners to stop damage and bends to the cover. All LPs are sent out with the record packed separately from the original cover to stop splits and damage to the cover.
