A 1958 U.S. HIT FOR ROBIN LUKE (WHO ALSO WROTE IT), 'SUSIE DARLIN' WAS AN IDEAL VEHICLE FOR THE DEEP-VOICED JOHN LAWS - A TOP RATING RADIO DJ AT THE TIME. ANY ORIGINAL PRESSING IS NOW VERY HARD TO FIND, AND A GENUINE AUTOGRAPHED LABEL MAKES IT EVEN RARER! ONE FOR THE COLLECTORS!

THE VINYL HERE IS IN NICE, USED CONDITION - THERE IS A COVERAGE OF LIGHT SCUFFS & THE ODD HAIRLINE, BUT THIS HEAVY-DUTY VINYL  PLAYS  LOUD AND STRONG!  THERE IS SOME LIGHT BACKGROUND CRACKLE IN PLACES, BUT THERE ARE NO SKIPS, STICKS, REPETITIVE TICKING, OR LOUD POPS - STILL A GREAT LISTEN!  THE LABELS ARE NICE AND BRIGHT, WITH MODERATE SPINDLES AND THE ORIGINAL OWNER'S INITIALS WRITTEN SMALL ON BOTH SIDES, AS WELL AS FULL NAME ON THE 'B' SIDE. THE 'A' SIDE OF COURSE, FEATURES A PROMINENT JOH LAWS AUTOGRAPH.

GRADING:

DUE TO THE TIME INVOLVED, I PLAY AND GRADE ONLY THE A SIDE OF 7" SINGLES (Unless otherwise stated ***). Records are graded as per UK Record Collector Magazine published standards. Mint/Excellent/Very Good/Good/Fair, and so on. (+) or, (-) indicates any variation. I don't list records that have major faults (skipping/sticking, etc) unless they are so rare/collectable that the condition is of secondary importance. I always grade down if there's any doubt. Grading is done by a combination of playing and visual inspection, and the 'A' side of all singles is played through for grading (MINT/SEALED copies excepted) because in my opinion, it's the ONLY way to grade accurately, and ensure that you're getting what you're paying for. Any obvious blemish and/or intrusive surface noise is noted.

Abbreviations & Terms Used. ccs: cut corner on sleeve. cw: corner wear/damage. dhl: drill hole through label. dhs: drill hole in sleeve. scs: saw cut in sleeve. sol: sticker on label. sos: sticker on sleeve. srl: sticker residue on label. srs: sticker residue on sleeve. tol: tear on label. tos: tear on sleeve. wol: writing on label. wos: writing on sleeve. spl: seam or spine split on sleeve. rw: ring wear. stl: stain on label. sts: stain on sleeve. scuff: superficial mark(s) usually made by sliding the record in and out of paper sleeve, and/or light needle drag (usually with little/no effect on sound quality/playability). hairline: a fine needle scratch (may, or may not result in audible noise). scratch: deeper mark(s) (may, or may not result in crackle, audible clicks, or even sticks & skips). misty: vinyl has a cloudy appearance (blushing) which has no effect on sound/playability. crackle: underlying background noise (may, or may not be intrusive/can be faint or loud). pop: faint or loud click caused by wear/scratch/hairline, etc.). ticking: repetitive clicks heard throughout a portion(s) of the track (can be faint, or loud). spindles: track marks on label around the centre hole, caused by the turntable spindle) ringwear: visible wear on sleeve caused over time by contact with the outer rim (ring) of the label, and/or outer rim of the vinyl (can be light to heavy).

All singles are cleaned prior to grading, and receive a final check-over before packing. In my listings the photograph displayed is of the actual record you are bidding for, and therefore forms part of the description.

REFUNDS of the original purchase price (excluding P&P costs) are offered only if the record doesn't match its description, and then only on the safe return of the record in its original condition, within 7 days (within 14 days for overseas buyers). I do NOT refund for damage/loss sustained in transit, or because someone has changed their mind after the event. Larger quantities will be sent as a 'Small Parcel' and will cost more. I AM HAPPY TO COMBINE MULTIPLE PURCHASES IN THE SAME 7 DAY PERIOD to save on post & packing, but please let me know that you're bidding on other items of mine! Registered Post is available (in Australia only) for an additional AU$2.75, and is COMPULSORY for all purchases valued at AU$50.00 (including shipping costs) or more.
