CHRISTMAS GREETINGS FROM JOHN DEWAR & SONS LTD

MANCINO'S ORCHESTRA

( The Rhythm Maniacs = Arthur Lally )

"HAPPY DAYS ARE HERE AGAIN" (O.C.10-1A)

Original issue, with Maurice Elwin vocal, recorded in London,

February 1930

This take must have been recorded as part of the Decca session in

February 1930. However there are no Danny Polo clarinet solos

and instead we're treated to straight laced violin solos instead!

SANDY McNAB

"DEOCH AN' DORIS" (O.C.11-2A)

Decca Master? recorded in London, circa September 1930

CONDITION: Approx E-

( a clean, glossy, surprisingly flat copy with absolutely no tears, creases or

delamination; like most flexible discs of this period it is difficult to

track with a modern stylus, however, "Happy Days Are Here Again"

plays remarkably well! )

This flexible promotional disc was issued for Christmas 1930 to promote

Scottish Whiskey Distiller John Dewar & Sons Ltd.
