CONDITION REPORT & PHOTO GALLERY THE RECORDS: I have taken the decision not to play grade the records as they look virtually untouched/very seldom played to my eyes. I felt that the buyer should have the pleasure of playing them first.
I have inspected each disc under bright sunlight and also under a LED lamp and each must grade at least EX(+)/NEAR MINT. The worst that I could spot were the odd ultra light hairline and some wispy sleeve removal marks. Some occasional very light superficial handling marks which will clean up very easily.
I have also taken the decision not to clean the records. Again, I felt that this should be up to the buyer to decide. Each is extremely shiny and retains a 'just pressed' look, but a clean would always be recommended to help clear up any potential build up of static and dust and of course any handling marks.
The labels all look superb and are NM/MINT. Clean and bright with only extremely minimal light spindle marking/signs of use. No tears, scuffs or writing.
THE BOX: NEAR MINT; the box case has no damage at all that I can see; just the lightest signs of age. Some small age spots to the interior . Looks superb.
THE BOOKLET, INSERT & OBI-STRIP: The booklet and insert are both in NEAR MINT condition with just the lightest signs of handling. Both look great.
The OBI is intact and is in NEAR MINT condition.

GRADING

Unless otherwise stated, all of my records have been play tested before listing using a Rega P3-24 turntable with Ortofon 2M Blue cartridge & stylus. I describe honestly and accurately but please bear in mind that I am only human and such things are always subjective. I tend to grade records conservatively and believe that my feedback speaks for itself. 

 Please take confidence from the fact that I have been a collector myself for over 20 years (please check my feedback as a buyer) and know only too well how disappointing it is to receive an inaccurately described record.

I also grade visually using a strong halogen lamp.

I use the Record Collector grading system as shown below.

I am more than happy, in most instances, to provide a play grade on a record listed as a visual grade only. If a buyer wishes to return a record based off a visual grade only, I cannot cover the cost of return postage unless I have missed an obvious flaw.

As a general rule, shipping will be discounted ie. I lose money on the costs of buying my packaging. I do not profit from this; please remember that my costs are not simply those shown on the stamp!

RECORD COLLECTOR GRADING SYSTEM

MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.

VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.

FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and / or defaced.

POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection filler.
