Here's a 1968 US STEREO PRESSING of JOHN COLTRANE LP - IMPRESSIONS on the IMPULSE LABEL CAT#AS-42. This is a 1968 pressing on the Impulse red rim label. It was originally released in 1963. After his untimely death in 1967 there was a larger appreciation of the enormity of Coltrane's importance. It's not that it wasn't already known, but sometimes it takes a loss to realize what many already knew. And, so a number of his LPs were pressed again to satisfy the growing interest. This copy is very nice. The cover is shiny from the laminated cover. it has some handling, and the back cover has some lifting of the laminate by the opening. A little bottom seam wear from the shelf. The inside gatefold has some ring wear on the right, that was probably pressed from the black on the other side. The vinyl is in beautiful condition, with no spindle marks on the labels. There's a mark at the start of side 2, but is lite, and superficial with no effect on the music. A beautiful copy.
