Original Blue Note pressing of this timeless John Coltrane LP.  Deep Groove, 47 West 63rd NYC labels.  Really rare album.
Picked this one up second hand so it is not perfect.  Jacket is completely split apart on all seams, top left corner of the front is missing a piece and there is wear along the edges where it was originally attached.  Back cover is discolored and again, shows signs of its age.  Not a good cover at all but protects the record so it does what it's supposed to do, just not very pretty - G rating on the jacket.
Vinyl plays beautifully, actually just played it through one last time.  Minimal pops and clicks on Side 1.  A bit more pops on Side 2 but still a very good listen.  Vinyl is not perfect but not horrible either.  I tried my best to photograph the flaws but it was hard to capture them in the light.  Side 1 shows some minor scuffs and hairlines mainly on "Blue Train".  Considering the rarity of this record, it's a strong strong VG- to me and I'm super picky.  Side 2 shows a lot more wear to it, large scuff on "I'm Old Fashioned" which is audible faintly, lots of surface hairlines on "Locomotion" and some minor scuffs on "Lazy Bird".  Giving Side 2 a medium to low VG- rating.  Overall a lot of shine still left on it so it's still a very desirable copy until a minty one falls into your lap.
Labels on both side show spindle marks - more so on Side 2 which is understandable as the first side of the album was my favorite too.  Not too much discoloration though or stains - VG for the labels.
