PLEASE NOTE: I WILL ONLY GRADE AN OPENED LP NEAR MINT (NM) IF I CAN GUARANTEE IT HAS NEVER BEEN PLAYED (i.e. I AM THE ORIGINAL OWNER).  OTHERWISE, NEAR MINT MINUS (NM-) IS THE ABSOLUTE HIGHEST GRADE I WILL ASSIGN AN OPENED LP.

WILDLY RARE Rudy Van Gelder mastered BST 1577 stereo pressing from 1967? on Blue Note with RVG STEREO stamped and BN-ST catalog prefix etched in the dead wax on both sides, NO text at the bottom on the rear cover, Division Of Liberty Records, Inc. in the upper label rim text, mono and stereo catalog numbers in the top right hand corner on the front cover, large circumference pressing ring, no publisher credit under I'm Old Fashioned on the side 2 label, album title on the label in small text and all caps directly above artist name in larger text in all caps, non-laminated cover, NO gold stereo sticker on the front cover and the number 114 (Southern Plastics?) etched in the dead wax on both sides!!!  Release year is unclear as there isn't a single entry for this pressing anywhere in the gargantuan, all-knowing Discogs database whatsoever.  THAT'S how you know it's rare.  There is one 1967 Liberty pressing that is close but it has the number 44 (All Disc Records, Inc.) etched in the dead wax.  This one is unmistakably 114 and it's clear as day as you can see in the photos.  Anyone with any info on this one please get in touch.  As much as I like to think I know everything I'm not too proud to ask for help when I get stumped.  I've certainly never seen this pressing in all my 45 years of collecting and selling.  LP side 1 is VG+ with a few light paper scuffs and side 2 is VG++ with even fewer and lighter paper scuffs.  Cover is VG+ with a small pen mark in the top right hand corner and a few tiny circular stains, both on the rear, and a hint of wear on the bottom edge.  Don't sleep Blue Note collectors.  If you've never seen it before you'll never see it again.

I USE GOLDMINE GRADING~ MINT (SEALED)  NEAR MINT: LOOKS UNPLAYED VG++:  VERY VERY MINIMAL SIGNS OF US VG+:  AVERAGE SIGNS OF USE, NOTHING DEEP, SUPERFICIAL VG:  STILL AN OK RECORD, NOISE BETWEEN SONGS GOOD: WORN BUT PLAYS FINE WITH DISTRACTING NOISE POOR:  FILLER COPY ONLY.  LOTS OF SCRATCHES
