JOE HENDERSON “Page One” RVG, P, DG, LAM, Blue Note BLP 4140 Mono Vinyl
This is 1963, first edition, “VAN GELDER” stamped, Laminated Cover, “P” pressing of JOE HENDERSON’s “Page One” on the “New York USA” labels of Blue Note BLP 4140. Musicians include Kenny Dorham – trumpet, Joe Henderson – tenor saxophone, McCoy Tyner – piano, Butch Warren – bass, Pete La Roca – drums.
VINYL plays with very light consistent backghround noise is which largely consumed/hidden by the music. Plays very well overall. Occasional pops and ticks. Ensemble sections are very clear, dynamic and strong. No distortion. No skips. Good gloss. Many hairline marks, 3 or 4 handful feelable. (If you can’t feel it, you won’t hear it). The “New York USA” labels are clean, some spindle wear. See photos.
LAMINATED COVER is in excellent shape. No peeling. Corners worn. Spine and seams very nice. “BLUE NOTE RECORDS INC., 43 West 61st St., New York 23” back jacket is clean, “Harlequin Record Shop” sticker. Please see photos.
This LP was play-tested on a high-end audio system. RECORD CLEANED ON ULTRASONIC CLEANER.
