Description
JOE HENDERSON – MODE FOR JOE – Blue Note BLP 4227 (Mono!). Disc is Near Mint (Side 1); Near Mint Plus (Side 2); Labels are Mint Minus; Sleeve is Near Mint Minus (minor corner wear; no seam splits).
Featuring Joe Henderson (tenor); Lee Morgan (trumpet); Curtis Fuller (trombone); Bobby Hutcherson (vibes); Cedar Walton (piano); Ron Carter (bass); and Joe Chambers (drums), this septet turns in 6 brilliant performances: A Shade of Jade; Mode For Joe; Black; Caribbean Fire Dance; Granted; and Free Wheelin’. Recorded Jan. 27, 1966, this is an original Monophonic pressing with “Van Gelder” stamped in the matrix runoff along with the LP’s catalog numbers on each side. The original paper inner sleeve liner, featuring photos of other Blue Note releases, is included.
All vinyl records from VinylKing46 (eBay’s ORIGINAL VINYLKING) are pre-cleaned and inserted into paper inner sleeves before mailing to Buyer (unless factory sealed). Discs are packaged separately from LP sleeve to protect against seam splitting (unless factory sealed). LP jackets are inserted into mylar outer sleeves and albums are shipped in LP-specific boxes and packed with bubble wrap.
I grade conservatively and by Goldmine standards.
