Joe Bonamassa may be recognised as a modern blues great, yet the 37-year-old has never been shy of acknowledging his influences.

Recorded over Labor Day weekend in 2014, this performance at Denver’s Red Rocks Amphitheatre found Bonamassa paying homage to Muddy Waters and Howlin’ Wolf in what was his biggest show to date.

“They always try to write off the blues; well we've proven tonight that at least 9,000 people like the blues,” he claimed, and this two-and-a-half hour spectacular shows precisely why.
