Description
JIMMY RANEY/GEORGE WELLINGTON - Swingin' In Sweden. EmArcy Records (USA) MG 36121. CONDITION: NM--/VG+. Sleeve is gorgeous; some slight wear along open edge and on back surface. Disk is reasonably clean but plays a little crackly in spots. A good pro-cleaning might help. ABOUT THE RECORD: Recorded in 1953, issued in 1958, chaotic line-up as follows: SIDE ONE: Jimmy Raney/gtr, Goesta Theselius or Putte Wickman/tnr, Sonny Clark or Bengt Hallberg/pno, Elaine Leighton/drms, Red Mitchell or Simon Brehm/bs. SIDE TWO: George Wallington/pno, Lars Gullin/brtn, Aake Persson/trbn, Jack Noren/drms, Simon Brehm/bs. Maybe a US reissue of two SWE-only 10"es? THE BORING PART (but read it anyway): ALL ITEMS GUARANTEED TO BE AS DESCRIBED. Full refund (less postage) if returned in same condition within two weeks. Buyer pays postage, will ship internationally. Typical mailing charges for one LP are as follows: USA -- 2.00/Media Rate, 4.00 - 8.00/Priority Mail, depending on zip code. Other countries in most cases will be 10.00/airmail or 5.00/surface-mail. Winning bidders will receive e-mail directly from me (no automated check out) within 24 hours of auction's closing. Payment options: 1) Cash (USD, Euros, GBP, Yen, others upon approval...) mailed safely or Check/Money Order payable to Poca Madre Enterprises. 2) www.bidpay.com. 3) Paypal, with the following restriction: I cannot and CANNOT accept paypal monies drawn from the buyer's credit card or debit card. If using paypal, money MUST come from your bank account or from your existing paypal balance. I think that covers everything -- please e-mail me with any questions, check 'other auctions' for a handful of scarce jazz titles I'm putting up today (along with classical/audiophile LP's closing 12/30 and a few folk-related titles) ... and THANKS FOR LOOKING!
