Description
A must have for every Parrothead, an early 1970s ABC Records/Dunhill pressing of the Jimmy Buffett classic A1A album. Features the classic A Pirate Looks at Forty
Fully play-tested: Side A sounds EXCELLENT, but side B has a scuff and light hairline scratch that results in some audible background crackles, audible during the quieter moments in songs. No skips or pops, but Side B does have more of a vintage vinyl feel than an audiophile experience. So the vinyl grades as lower-end VG+
The gatefold album jacket is in VG+ condition with light edgewear near to top. No ring-wear, writing, stickers or other such flaws. This original pressing has the limited edition gold "Platinum Plus" gold stamp on the cover.
The original ABC Records inner sleeve is in VG+ condition with a partial seam split on the bottom.
The vinyl has been cleaned, handled with audiophile gloves (not hands), and stored and ships in an audiophile-quality anti-static inner sleeve. I also always store and ship albums in a protective 3 mil. plastic sleeve to keep these precious albums in excellent condition. This costs me a bit more, but it's worth it to ensure a high-quality record stays as pristine as possible.
