Description

Radio one live recordings by BBC radio at Playhouse Theatre and BBC studio for "Saturday club"radio and "Top Gear" radio shoe broadcast in 66/67.

Lots great early live versions including neat cover of Beatles Day Tripper , Driving South and Hound Dog, one if Jimis personal party favourites.

Killin Floor is driven by Jimi on adrenaline, so much temp on this..

First ever recording getting my heart back together amazing blues.

Catfish blues gas Jimi on a Fender Squier Telecaster with the biting attack just leaping from speakers  these early shows had so much force and skill applied Jimi was frightening off all comers who became friends Clapton Beck and company.

Jimi also recorded Purple Haze using a Squier Telecaster so ....

Jimi also was using a left hand Hofner guitar on occasions so these formative live shows were the Experience getting 'tuned'

Both records Ex great audio, record says stereo but recordings are BBC mono for sure, great stuff !

1st UK press limited release on Castle records, good Mono sound cut on these pressings labelled as Stereo definitely mono by the BBC here.

Pictures of Jimis flat in London taken by myself not included also on stage at Playhouse Theatre London Dec 67 recorded Christmas here on this classic BBC concert.

Both records are Ex gatefold sleeve is VGC plus, no serious issues plays with great punchy audio  superb live smaller venue recordings.
