Description

This is from my own collection, I am not a dealer, in the next few months I am selling off part of my collection, some rarities and collectable, no filler! Thanks for looking!

An original 1967 copy that has played and cared for, still has great audio fantastic bass response on this copy.

Has some light surface lines and scuffs , slight static at intros.

any questions are welcome on this quality mono audio copy.

If you haven't heard this album in the original Mono mix you are in for a surprise,  its way better than the later versions in our view, really punchy sound.

Please note we are a registered business with ebay , as such we don't  add buyer  protection  fees.

For USA we are very competitive always giving our friends the best route, we send Royal Mail International always giving discounts,

no added insurance fees!

Great deal for someone wanting "the original" from the Vault.

Near Excellent vinyl`Vault stored` copy , so difficult to find now.

Has the rarer *double inner ring* at centre hole, very early copies only have this, with Inverted triangle in the matrix ,see photos.

Please note we registered business with ebay , as such we don't  add buyer  protection  fees.

Our prices reflect  quality checked vinyl.

this album is complete and original 1st Track Records UK pressing on the black label and is priced for its rarity and attraction to collectors , it is now almost 59 years old !

the sound quality of these rare first presses wipes the floor in our view with the new reissues but over to the listener....drum sound is incredible on this.

A1 B1 1967 original vinyl 1st UK  press in Mono is near to excellent clear and bright in punchy Mono, no skips or serious damage, has some surface noise between tracks quite normal on a copy this age,

Pretty well cared for copy.

these often sell well over 300 gbp.

There are some surface lines on the vinyl see photos , they don't affect play badly, intro to may this be love and red house have some surface sound.

This has a different track listing to the US version and is now extremely hard to find in good order only some 100,000 monos were sold on the UK track label

compared to 5,000,000 in the US!

To explain you can limit this further as "Stereo" was being launched as a format in 66 and 67 and later re presses were released in Stereo only..so how many Mono A1 B1  are left?

how many are in good order?

the original Mono pressing have "that sound" for us, the US versions are generally poorer quality presses in our experience, its possible that less than a few thousand Track Mono pressings still exist in playable order now 59 years later...this is A1 B1 so the very very first of the presses available to the public of Jimis blistering Debut...recorded in London and released in London 1967 first on the iconic "UK Black Track label"

Please ask Questions on any aspect of this record!

 we will try to accommodate...

Jimi Hendrix  amazing and historic debut album recorded in swinging London 1966/7...

Jimi was having a ball being in the centre of the London scene and was blowing away all the competition.

This was recorded October 66 to April 67 in Olympic and De Lane Lea studios in London  this was followed up quickly by "Axis Bold As Love" in the same year as Jimi was required to produce 2 albums for Track in that year, Jimi was playing and recording in London almost every day so this was no problem  for the experience.

The classics are here and super fresh sound on this great audio copy, Foxy Lady opens and there is no let up like his live shows in London at the time the "100 club" "bag o nails" and the Marquee all were the testing grounds for this amazing debut form the all too short career of Jimi Hendrix

Red House was a staple blues in his live set for most of Jims career Fire, Are you Experienced? all are here...recorded for Mono and in glorious Mono here on this original 1st Press from 1967.

Look our other Hendrix items for sale we have a MONO smash hits also on offer they make a great pair!

essentially this was Jimis live set on record at the time " a real time capsule"

Photos of Jimis Mayfair London England apartment are not included.

it is where some of the songs were written though..

also the Royal Mail postbox outside Jimis home is where he posted his postcards home to his Dad Al about his success in London 66 and 67.....

This is an " VGC + condition " vinyl copy way better than most of these that come up for sale.

There are some surface lines, some light removal marks under strong light, this is a rare find on the original UK track record label from 1967, its not mint or record store new. These A1B1 monos are so hard to get in this condition.

Visually it's had a life from its 59 years, audio is clear and bright when played, so it's a real survivor, labels show that not been played excessive, clear the audio.

A few spindle trails visible.

1st version double inner ring on labels.

Look close at pics very feint owners name on side 2 hard to see..

no skips or jumps on playback.

The original UK mono copies from 1967 are now so hard to find in this condition. You can see 350+ in Ex for this its rare.

here for under £250  is a nice copy.

The record is near excellent  condition

Cover is vgc+ real four good corners  see close up pics in listing.

No splits or tears.

For a sleeve if this age its in great order.

Spine has rubbed from storage otherwise great sleeve in good order.

This is a mono copy and sounds awesome and easily our favourite.

A1 B1 matrixes

This vinyl is cared for and in near Ex shape no stickers on labels and a few light linesz there are some lines and removal marks under strong light this is 59 year old vinyl no skips or jumps on our Rega 3 or our super fussy light tracking Kenwood deck.

We play tested this on two different decks. Our Rega 3 also on our super fussy Kenwood deck with very light tracking and there are no skips or jumps

We want to be very clear this is not a "mint or record store new" its a 59 year old original Track uk copy from 1967,

it has been played and should continue to be played and enjoyed as a great vinyl to own.

In near excellent condition with some surface lines, light scuffs from sleeve removal and general light hairlines,  over the years, bear in mind this is a 59 year old vinyl record!

Nice fat pre oil crisis 60s vinyl wow !

So thick and fat vinyl...

See pictures in the listing you can see only very light surface lines on the record, nothing serious and in keeping with its 59 years life.

It's been carefully vault stored many years.

There is some very slight  static in quieter passages and intros, but this isn't obtrusive to the playback once music starts.

Plays clear with bright crisp sound may benefit from a professional clean (we don't do this as it's an individual thing) some slight background light static is noticeable in the quieter passages.

Its a loud recording.

Foxy ! Manic Depression, Fire are all incredible on any good deck, wipes the floor with the recent reissues no contest, punchy clear bass and drums. just the greatest mix in MONO.

The Cover

Vgc+ Condition

It's been well  kept in a PVC sleeve for most of its life in great shape from a smoke free home.

Has ancient owners name overwritten at top right rear of sleeve , not too distracting, see photo.

Bright vibrant colour , the spine is in good order (see photos in listing) its got only a little wear in opening area.

There are

no tape or repairs.

very impresseive the corners are in good shape soo hard to find, we keep a card stiffener inside to help protect the integrity of the sleeve.

The colours on the front side are in real great order there is some laminate creasing (see photos in listing) but bearing in mind its 59 year journey all good.

no or tears or tape repairs!

Spine has rubbed away from storage use over 59 years.

VGC+THE SLEEVE FROM 1967.

Having done it's job over 59 years the sleeve has very little soiling/creasing  removal wear on entry/exit side and not showing a lot of ringwear  (see photos) normal storage wear on this from its long life.

colours are good and not a lot fading, the thick card holds up well, no stickers or tape on the sleeve, this is a keeper for any Hendrix fan wanting an original MONO 67 1st UK Pressing.

This is great heavy 60s pre oil crisis vinyl and has deep lustre wow!

This is a great affordable upgrade !
