Reprise R6261 Pressed in USA, very rare MONO issue. Playing it now on my Techniques diamond needle phonograph - sounds very clear, even with my head to the 4 foot speakers. I've added the Enlarge & Zoom features so you can grade the condition yourself. There's a faint name on the label of side one and the cover has the usual & expected wear of a decades-old classic. To hear the trademark genius of jimi's riffs on this MONO vinyl is to hear his guitar in an intimate setting as if you were front row at a live concert. I've heard the stereo version and there is a noticable difference. Additionally, vinyl can have all kinds of defects from the pressing and manufacturing like little vinyl "pimples," but this copy save for some visible scratches - that don't appear to reveal themselves audibly, is a particularly fine copy, flat and well molded. While I am no professional grader, I know any two graders would even have a slightly different assessment. Additionally, many sellers of collectible items don't offer Zoom and Enlarge features because they don't want the buyer to see the flaws - but I add these features to my listing to show the lucky winner the real thing they are getting - a Rare, Pre-owned classic sold as seen.

I've seen "Are you experienced" for upwards of $1000 at Shugarecords and high also at Vinyl Renaissance on ebay, both of which post ONLY 1 picture of cover and NONE of the vinyl and NO ZOOM is included if buyer wants to see a close-up? Why? There is no extra cost. But, I want YOU to EXPERIENCE Hendrix in the RARE MONO form that I have and you can't do that if it is out of your price range. And tickets to a live concert are unavailable, but you can find the next best thing with this record for less than a concert ticket - the rare recording in MONO allowing an intimate connection to some of the greatest guitar work the world has ever witnessed. Are You Experienced is the debut album by English/American rock band The Jimi Hendrix Experience. Released in 1967, it was the first LP for Track Records. The album highlighted Jimi Hendrix's R&B-based, psychedelic, distortion- and feedback-laden electric guitar playing, and launched him as a major new international star. In 2003, Rolling Stone magazine ranked it #15 on Rolling Stone's 500 Greatest Albums of All Time. The album was an instant success and was the best-selling albums by year in the United States (1968).

In 2005 Are You Experienced was selected for permanent preservation in the National Recording Registry at the Library of Congress in the United States.
