Here it is. An absolute rarity.
Jimi Hendrix - 7" two-sided acetate single by I.B.C. Sound Recording Studios
We recently bought a small collection of Beat Singles. And this true rarity was included. Please read the description carefully before you place your bid.
We usually sell classical records, so please ask for any information needed. We will try to quickly answer your questions if there is any information missing.
Grading an acetate, well folks.... visually we grade it VG-. It has surface marks, but no deep scratches. We also playgraded it on an audiophile Transrotor Turntable and what can i say.... it plays very nice. NO SKIPS but it has (mainly in the beginning of both sides) surface noise. The surface noise is getting much less after a few seconds.
The label is a standard I.B.C label red/silver. The artist name and song title are written with a typewriter. On both sides "Jimmy" is crossed out and "Jimi" is handwritten aside. The title on side a is "Hey Joe" and the catalogue number is handwritten aside 56139 A. On the B-side we have "Stone Free" and a handwritten 56139 B.
