Description
Jethro Tull - Massively Rare UK 1969 1st Pressing 'Stand Up' !!! Earliest Possible A//B Matrix 1st Press on Thick & Chunky Heavyweight 1st Press Vinyl and Pink 'Eye' Rough Textured Island Labels and Pop Up Sleeve!!! Complete with Nr Mint Poly Lined 'Made In England' Inner Sleeve All in Stunning EX++/Ex Condition Throughout!!!
We are pretty exited about this one - you are bidding on the Earliest UK 1st pressing of 'Stand Up' by Jethro Tull!!! A number of features mark this as the earliest (and by far rarest) UK 1st Pressing. Firstly the centre labels feature the early Island 'eye' logo. Second pressings only had a pink label. These earliest possible 1st pressings NEVER come up for sale anymore in today's market!, and on the rare occasions they do it is NEVER in this condition!! Don't miss this one!!! Please check our other auctions as we currently have many more incredibly rare UK Psych, Prog, Beat & Rock 1st pressings and rarities listed and ending soon!!!
Cat No:
ILPS-9103
Matrix:
Side 1 - ILPS 9103 A
Side 2 - ILPS 9103 B
This record is in Stunning condition!!! The Classic 'Pink Eye' 1st Pressing rough textured centre labels are in stunning Nr MINT condition with NO Tears, NO Peeling, NO Scribbles and NO unwanted writing of any kind!!! There is only the faintest trace of a solitary spindle line on side 1 - the only indication that this record has ever been played!!! The gramophone rims containing the all important matrix's are also mint!!! The heavyweight 1st press vinyl itself is in absolutely Stunning condition and is easily the best example of this earliest possible press I have ever seen!!! It has a beautiful deep glass-like sheen that shows this record has only ever been played a handful of times before!!! It has NO Scratches, No groovewear and NO warping!!! It just has a very light superficial non-sounding hairline on side 2. This is very very light and waxy and has in no way indented the playing surface, of course it in no way effects the play back of the record - this record play grades as Nr Mint!!! The thick quality pressed chunky 1960's vinyl LOOKS AND FEELS STUNNING!!! With SUPERB SHINE!!! It feels great in the hand (it is very heavy!). I would have to grade this vinyl as EX++ at the very least!!! We do not overgrade our records at all, what's the point, they would be sent straight back to us!!! The classic 1st Press 'Pop Up' Gatefold Sleeve is simply stunning!!!! Due to having no lamination, these 1st press sleeves suffered severe wear and always turn up worn out and really nasty looking. This one however is simply stunning, by far the best 1st press sleeve I have ever come across, (it is much better than most of the later sleeves!!!) This mega rare 1st press sleeve grades as EX condition!!!! It's as simple as that, it retains ALL of its factory pressed matt finish!!!! There are NO Tears, NO Scribbles and NO unwanted writing/scribbles of any kind!!! It is completely blemish free!!! The pop-up feature works perfectly!!! What's more, it comes with its original 'UK Patents' poly-lined inner sleeve, which is which is in Stunning NR MINT condition!!!! No creases, no tears, an no separating of the inner poly lining!!!
Do not underestimate the rarity of this LP, it is the only copy we have ever seen approaching this kind of condition, and you will very likely not see another for a very long time, if at all. And as usual it will go to the highest bidder! Like all our auctions, it has no reserve and a very low start, so once its gone its gone. Please do not email asking for identical copies, cos there ain't any!!!
All my records have No reserve, a Low Start and No Surcharges!

Postage ... Hazey Jane has absolutely NO hidden surcharges; the price you win is the price you pay, just add the relevant postage, it's as simple as that! We always combine postage so if you win more than 1 auction you save money on postage costs! We will only ship to non-UK countries via Airmail - we do not use surface mail, it is way too slow and thus increases the risk of records being damaged during transit.
A little note about insurance - Please read carefully... If the value of your record(s) is over £30, your invoice will include an insured option. Being the responsible adults you are, it is entirely up to you to take this up - we strongly advise you to do this but will not hassle you about it. You either add the required insurance or you don't. If you do add the required insurance and your record is lost/damaged, you will get a refund. If you don't add the required insurance and your record is lost/damaged, you will not get a refund. Can we be any clearer? I think not.

Refunds & Feedback ... Please read this carefully ... We try to give you the best quality examples of rare records available. However, there will always be somebody out there whose expectations far exceed UK record collector grading standards. If you are in anyway unsatisfied with your record or our grading of it please refer to the UK Record Collector Grading Chart very carefully BEFORE emailing us. We strictly adhere to it and will only offer refunds (minus the postage AND our eBay costs) if we are satisfied that we have fallen below UK record collector grading standards. This will very rarely, if ever, happen. We will not be impressed with buyers disputing our gradings without even bothering to check the UK record collector grading standards chart first - you have been warned ...
Buyers who continually Haggle, Whine and Moan to try to decrease the price they won their auctions for will be blocked from bidding on future auctions and can toodle off down to HMV or Virgin where they can harass the counter staff there.
We will always leave feedback upon receipt of feedback. In an ideal world we would like to leave feedback as soon as the record has been shipped but due to feedback blackmail in the past (i,e, ",,,I want a partial refund or I will leave negative feedback") we have opted to take this measure. Contact must be made within 3 days of winning the auction. If payment has not been received after 10 days a non paying bidder alert will be placed. If payment is then not received within 7 days Negative feedback WILL be left and the buyer WILL be given a strike by eBay. Thanks for reading.
