JERRY LEE LEWIS ORIG. MONO ROCKABILLY DEBUT LP SUN 1230
From 1958 comes this original mono pressing of Jerry Lee Lewis' self-titled debut LP (Sun 1230), released just as his fifth single "High School Confidential" was hitting the charts . . . and news of his marriage to his 13 year-old cousin Myra was hitting the streets, resulting in perhaps the most severe backlash against a recording artist ever. As a result, sales of this LP were poor, which makes original pressings quite hard to find - especially in this condition.
The cover is in excellent condition with just a faint amount of ring wear visible (primarily on its back) in addition to some minor creasing and a slight amount of fraying in its lower right-hand corner. The LP within is excellent as well. Don't sleep on this one - we expect it to go quickly! Thanks for looking . . . and good luck!
