LA singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Jenny O finally shares her latest LP Spectra via Mama Bird. Described as "the outcome of Jenny O.'s reflections on what it means to be a weirdo, to communicate, and, ultimately, to be useful", Spectra is a technicolour, implied neurodiverse, morphology of indie rock turned multi-genre oddism, reflecting the artist's increasing expansion into ever-wider directions as her career has progressed. Though she began as a double-bassist and trained composer, Spectra reflects a far wider gamut than those credentialisms might suggest - the likes of 'Prism' and 'There Is A Club' recall everything from the beauteous trip-hop lilts of Lamb to the call-and-response acapella stylings of Imogen Heap.
