JEFFERSON AIRPLANE Bark (Grunt FTR-1001) RARE US 1st Pressing +All Inserts MINT-
RARE US first pressing of Jefferson Airplane`s sixth album "Bark" on Grunt/RCA Records (September 1971). Complete with all inserts: Brown bag (12x24") outer package, standard sleeve and "Bark Lyric Flyer".
"If you ask me, Bark is the ‘Plane’s most magnuminious opus since After Bathing At Baxter’s, and even if its woof and whissshh ain’t quite as supersonic as some of their other platters, it’ll getcha there on time just like an amyl nitrate TV Dinner garnished this time with a little Valium. And the zingy rush that Jorma’s and Jack’s reps rest on streams as strongly as ever just a bit below the surface of the music with a motion seconded in places by the always judicious application of Papa John’s sweet gypsy-blue fiddle." - Lester Bangs, Rolling Stone (November 1971).

EX+ to MINT- PAPER BAG with minor rub-off to corners.
- No writing, tears or creasing whatsoever.
EX+ COVER with light storage wear. Please see photos for details.
- Small corner bump at top right.
- A few paper creases along the spine (near bottom).
- Light record imprint on cover.
- Also includes original inner sleeve in unused MINT- condition, but with a few creases, as shown.
- The "Bark lyric flyer" is in EX condition, with a few creases and a tiny hole.
MINT- RECORD that looks unplayed. A near-impossible find like this!
- Near-perfect vinyl on both sides, with impeccable audio reproduction throughout.
- The record has a few paper scuffs, due to longtime storage in creased inner sleeve.
- However, no hairlines, scratches, scuffs or other visible signs of actual play whatsoever!
- First US pressing glossy black Grunt/RCA Records labels with no spindle wear whatsoever.
- The matrix stamps in the run-off grooves read "APRS 8409 16S" and "APRS 8410 11S".
- This record is certified to be a US first pressing of "Bark", released in September 1971.
