This is an original issue of the The Id “Big Time Operator” EP from Australia. Cat. No. Spin EX-11,247. 1967 issue with original picture sleeve. Tracks are: Big Time Operator / Sister’s Got A Boyfriend / Black Girl / Eastern Dream. The Id were blessed with the voice of Jeff St. John, a singer able to handle various styles with ease. The two tracks on side one are top shelf blue eyed soul in the mid sixties style. The second side opens with a version of the Leadbelly tune and is followed by a totally psychedelic organ driven workout!! This song, “Eastern Dream” made an appearance on the excellent compilation CD Datura Dreamtime and thoroughly deserves it’s selection. Cover is in VG+ condition with a couple of minor corner creases. The record is also VG+ with a number of minor scuffs and some intermittent background crackle.
