Description

Jef Gilson Septet "Avec Lloyd Miller"

A French import on the Spirit Jazz label.

Format: 10" 33 1/3 LP
#sjd 1  Mono recording.
Yellow label with black lettering.

 A rare French 10" from pianist Jef Gilson.

Side one is an all French band w/ Pierre Caron, Lloyd Miller, Alain Melet, Henri Texier, Asin Tabarnouval and Pierre Alsin Dahan.

Side 2 is an All-Star session with Roger Guerin, F. Verstraete, Luis Fuentes, Bobby Jasper, Doug Watkins, Walter Davis Jr. and Art Taylor. Side 1 recorded in Paris December 1961-Side 2 recorded in Paris October 1958.

The sleeve is VG++ with some creases and very slight water stains.
But no splits or writing. The printing is clear on the back.

The disc is Excellent and plays with no issues, and it sounds great.
