Jawbox was an alternative rock band from Washington, D.C.. Its original members were J. Robbins (vocals/guitar), Bill Barbot (guitar), Kim Coletta (bass guitar) and Adam Wade (drums).
Jawbox gained some notoriety in the indie music community by becoming one of only two bands to defect from legendary record label Dischord Records for a major label, when they signed to Atlantic Records for 1994's For Your Own Special Sweetheart (the other band was Shudder to Think). The band had a minor MTV hit with Savory in 1994. A second single, Cooling Card, was issued and received some MTV and radio play, but it wasn't as popular as "Savory".

VINYL COLOR: black
NOTES: Test pressing set with RTI labels on the both sides. Only signifying feature is "NOV 29 1993" and "177011" machine stamped on the outside jacket (see photo). Comes in regular paper sleeve. No picture sleeve.
ORIGIN/PROVENANCE: My friend Corey Rusk, who runs Touch & Go Records (and formerly of The Necros), has been cleaning out his storage space and has realized that he really doesn't have any more room for the all doubles and triples of many of the rare records in his collection. He's busy running Touch and Go and doesn't have the time to deal with selling his extras... but they do need to go. So he asked me to help him sell them off. And of course, as a long time friend of Corey and and fan of Touch and Go Records, I jumped at the chance.
PAYMENT: Paypal only. Or so sez eBay.
SHIPPING: The record will be housed between two pieces of cardboard and then put inside a sturdy mailer which might possibly be recycled (in an effort to save trees). I ship records the way I like them shipped to me. Simple as that. If you live inside the US, shipping is only available by priority mail (due exclusively to less expensive service's unreliability) and tracking is provided free of charge. Outside of the US, airmail rates apply. IF YOU LIVE OUTSIDE THE US, DO NOT PAY UNTIL I SEND YOU AN INVOICE! Hey Italy! Insurance is not automatically provided but is STRONGLY RECOMMENDED.
