This is the rare UK 1st pressing of Hawkwind's "Hawkwind" LP from 1970 on TOSHIBA Records JAPAN early FIRST PRESSING made for Liberty.

THIS IS A WHITE LABEL PROMO (and as such it has no OBI strip as it was never put on sale).

Complete with the insert and pocket inner sleeve.

The vinyl looks like unplayed, nice and shiny, definitely an EX+ (I never grade M), no lines at all. The labels are in NM condition clean like new (one side shows barely one spindle mark, the other doesn't show any).  I never played it, looks like new. The cover is thick as a brick, nothing like the UK pressing. Minor slight show of wear on the spine as the thickness of the cardboard used stresses the spine. Rarest original very first pressing in PROMO white label. Never used solvents to clean it, never played it. Insert  has no wear at all, just a homogeneous faint yellowing overall, but nothing serious, no spots at all. Nearly impossible to find in such a condition. The very rare generic Toshiba pocket inner sleeve shows no trouble at all, please see the pictures.

I sell this because i am fed up of trying to find an OBI strip. Unless if you have one to sell me...

INSANE   1S        matrix on side A and B respectively  next to the LBS 83348 A and B respectively (means a very early pressing as the "normal" early pressing is LBS 83348 2F on both sides). A little later Toshiba made the final version that had the LP 80408  on both matrices rather than LBS 83348, this meant the change on the logo on label and cover as well (the Liberty was taken off for Toshiba).

Record is in EX+ condition with only the faintest paper wear.

Labels have minimal thin spindle lines, NM condition.

Cover is in EX condition, no splits, no bents, no ringwear, with minimal wear in the edges and spine.

Insert and pocket cover in EX condition.
