JANOS STARKER Bach Solo Cello Suites Mercury SR3 9016
Mercury Living Stereo SR3 9016, Janos Starker, cello. Bach, Complete Suites for Unaccompanied Cello. Stereo, 1960s. UM1 dark maroon label, stampers: RFR 2/2/2/2/1/3. 3 LPs with notes. A beautiful set, one of the most sought-after Mercurys and, in many peoples' opinion, both the finest recording and performance of the cello suites ever made. Vinyl VG++, some cosmetic scuffs, excellent sound. The notes have a 2" tear down the spine, otherwise NM. Cover VG++, 2" of minor seam wear to back of box, art gorgeous, lid seam intact. There is a small Braille tab affixed to the top right corner of the back of the box (see scan, showing that and the seam wear).

Condition Notes:
Records are generally graded on visual inspection.
M: Mint. I only use this grade when a record is sealed.
NM: Near Mint. As good as new. I won't grade any unsealed vinyl higher than this.
VG++: Excellent. Looks unflawed but not new; sound should be fine.
VG+: May have cosmetic flaws, mild surface noise or short patches of ticking, but should sound fine overall.
VG: May have moderate noise throughout or one or two bad patches from scratches. Still fine for general listening.
Good: Noisy throughout, but plays through.
