Description
This is a RARE ORIGINAL 1968 U.S. MONAURAL PRESSING of the 1968 LP titled 'Cheap Thrills' from Janis Joplin with her first band Big Brother And The Holding Company. It is a U.S. Columbia Records LP, catalog number KCL 2900. At the time this album was released in late 1968, the U.S. major record labels were in the process of completely discontinuing the retail release of monaural LPs, and very few monaural copies of this title were pressed. This record has solid red mid-1960s Columbia labels with black and white print, with the inscription 'MONO' across the bottom of the labels. Condition of record is VG+, with all original gloss and some surface marks, none of which can be felt, and none of which affect play. Condition of cover is a high VG+/VG++ with a little bit of contact wear, and a little wear along the edges and on the corners. There is no writing, splits, tears, or any other flaws. Tracks: Combination Of The Two, I Need A Man To Love, Summertime, Piece Of My Heart, Turtle Blues, Oh Sweet Mary, Ball And Chain.
