JAMES MASON – RHYTHM OF LIFE LP EX (1977) ORIGINAL PRESSING.

This LP entitled Rhythm of Life by James Mason is in Excellent Condition. Original 1977 pressing (catalog number CR-189 on Chiaroscuro Records) of the acid jazz funk soul classic by the Roy Ayers’ protégé.  It has a near-mint silver label and near-mint jacket with bottom-left corner cutout, indicating it was a promotional issue. 

 

PLEASE NOTE: The only thing that keeps the vinyl from being listed in Near Mint condition is an unusual flaw at the start of  “Slick City,” the first track on side two. Before the vocal begins, there is a tick on each revolution and two minor skips. The rest of the track, and the rest of both sides of the record look and play like new. It was play-tested on a Gemini XL500-II turntable.

Images are intact. The record is clean and has been carefully stored and handled.

 

Here is what the ratings are based on:

Mint - The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality.

Excellent - The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality.

Very Good - The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality despite noticeable surface marks and occasional light scratches.

This LP will be shipped in a corrugated box designed for LP shipments.  This will ensure that the best protection will be in place through transport.  I am not a dealer but am trying to pass on and lighten the hoard of LP’s I own.
