James are back with new songs forged in these strangest of days. Their 15th studio album, aptly titled Living In Extraordinary Times on infectious Music. The new recording sessions were overseen by Mercury Prize-winning producer Charlie Andrew and rising star Beni Giles. Hank, which appears on the EP and opens the new record, is further evidence that James have no inclination to shy away from politics. Booth is an Englishman in America, and that particular perspective on Donald Trump’s American carnage couldn’t help but have an impact on the writing of the record. As well as biting social commentary, Living In Extraordinary Times also sees Booth speak frankly about deeply personal issues. On Coming Home (Pt. 2), he writes - not for the first time - about the pain of being a father on tour away from a young child. That song features an appearance from long-time James collaborator Brian Eno. The new album also features EP title track Better Than That, in which Booth urges the universe to do its worst, like a man squaring up to life itself.
“You can do better than that,” he sings. “Hit me again and show me where I’m cracked.” The album started life in three weeks of extended jam sessions at Sheffield’s Yellow Arch Studios, featuring Booth, Davies, Glennie and keyboard player Mark Hunter and they finished recording at Iguana Studios in Brixton, London.

Shipping

Your item will be safely packaged in a bespoke vinyl mailer. We offer automatic postage discounts (where prices are applied) on multiple purchases. We dispatch Monday to Friday - orders placed by 12 noon will usually be dispatched the same day. Orders placed after 12 noon, or at the weekend, will be dispatched on the next working day.

Most vinyl items come from the manufacturer in a shrink wrap seal. We take immense care in the packing process to protect the seal from any stress. However, the seal is fragile and may, from time to time, become detached. We cannot accept any responsibility for this happening in the transportation process and nor can we accept returns on the basis of the seal breaking.

On rare occasions vinyl items are manufactured and shipped without a shrink wrap seal. In these circumstances we will place the item in a bespoke vinyl protector to reduce the risk of any damage to the product during packaging and transportation.

PRE-SALE ORDERS (where applicable):

IMPORTANT NOTE: Pre-sale orders are subject to manufacturers/distributors supply and how they determine to distribute this supply. Occasionally the record labels or distributors will have to cut orders if the supply from the manufacturer is outstripped by the demand for the product. This is completely outside of our control and may mean that we will also have to cut our orders. Should this occur you will be informed and refunded immediately. In such circumstances we will operate on a first come, first served basis; we will also cut any multiple orders to single orders in order to ensure, inasfar as we can that everyone gets at least one copy of the title. Occasionally there is a delay in the manufacturing process that may delay your delivery; if this should happen then we will endeavour to keep you fully informed of the progress of your item.

Our pre-sale listings use the marketing information and image packs supplied to us. At times the design of the packaging or colour of the vinyl, tracklisting etc may be amended by the record label after the marketing information has been sent out. We are often not informed of such amendments and, therefore, bear no responsibility and cannot offer a refund on the basis of such amendments.

Where the item listed is a Pre-Order, the release date is clearly stated within the eBay listing. In the case of a Pre-order, the delivery timescales and delivery dates calculated and shown on eBay, are not precise, and should be ignored. We use our best endeavours to get the item to you on, or shortly after, the release date, however, the speed of the Royal Mail is beyond our control.

Returns

We want you to be happy with your purchase. However, if it is not suitable for any reason, we are happy to refund your purchase providing it is:

• Returned within 14 days of receiving your order
• It is in original undamaged packaging with all tags intact
• The product is in the same condition as how you received it
• You have a statutory duty to take reasonable care of our goods whilst they are in your possession and during transit. We cannot accept liability for goods that get lost or damaged when they are returned, and request that you ask the Post Office to stamp the Proof of Posting label when returning products by post.
